Learn All About the Chicago Private Drain Program’s New Procedures
Chicago Water Management Department Supervising House Drain Inspector, Adonna Murray will be on hand to discuss and answer any contractor questions pertaining to the new procedures instituted for the city’s Private Drain Program.
In the past, our affiliated contractors would rod and video a homeowner’s private drain line when called upon to determine if a break was on the private (homeowner) property or in the public (city) way. After that initial visit, our affiliated contractors would then schedule a city inspector to come out and verify the results. Now, according to the Chicago Department of Water Management, that city inspector must be scheduled to be present at the first visit by our affiliated contractors, eliminating the need for a second visit. This new procedure and several other changes will be addressed at this meeting.
Due to space constraints, this PCA Express meeting is available to the first thirty (30) PCA and Plumbing Council Contractors and their office staff who register. There is no cost to attend. Additional meetings may be scheduled upon demand at a later date.
