As one of the oldest trade associations in the United States, the mission of the Plumbing Contractors Association Midwest includes representing our members in Labor Relations and Legislation, assisting our members with education and safety training, and supporting an apprenticeship system that provides for the effective training of apprentices.
The PCA and the Illinois PHCC have collaborated to develop a new brochure on lead safety in drinking water. It explains what consumers can do to reduce their exposure to lead in their home; offers advice on hiring licensed plumbing contractors to test the lead in water systems; provides helpful industry website links; and includes a consumer acknowledgement and release form for our contractors to keep for their own records.

UA Plumbers' Local 130 UA has posted its 2018-2019 C.E. class schedule online for Illinois licensed plumbers. All of these classes (4-hours of IDPH approved C.E. credit) will be held at the UA Plumbers' Local 130 JAC Chicago, Volo or Joliet Training Centers.
