State of the Union Address: Plumbers Local 130 UA Business Manager Jim Coyne
James F. Coyne, Business Manager of Plumbers Local 130 UA will serve as our guest speaker. As in the past, it is anticipated that Mr. Coyne will provide our PCA Midwest contractors, associate members and guests with a “state of the union” report likely featuring an update on the successful opening this past September of the new JAC Training Center and its impact on the recruitment of the next generation of plumbing apprentices and their ability to meet and exceed the technological advancements shaping our industry. In addition, we expect he will report on the current status of the Trust Funds (Pension, Welfare, JAC) and what labor-management shared options are now being discussed to benefit both Plumbers Local 130 UA members and PCA Midwest signatory contractors. And finally, he is expected to also focus on the union’s “Plumbers 911” advertising campaign and talk candidly about the necessity of work rule changes successfully negotiated this year between Local 130 and the PCA Midwest for the master CBA, the “Schedule A” for Residential and Light Commercial Agreement, and the new Plumbing Service Agreement, all aimed at recapturing and retaining market share from non-union competitors operating in our jurisdiction
Please note: This meeting will also include the election of the PCA Midwest Board. PCA Midwest members (only) will vote (one vote per PCA Midwest member contractor firm) to elect their next slate of Officers and Directors who will lead our organization for the 2018-19 term.
Get involved in the PCA Midwest and attend this month’s membership meeting!
